We have reached the mid-point of the year 2022. We have come quite some way in the past six months. The work to introduce new features and improve the system will always remain. Let’s have a look at what happened on AidStream (the system) in the first six months of 2022.
AidStream got 100 new members in the past six months. A huge thank you to all these organisations for choosing us as their data publishing partners. We also provided 8 premium services to our users.
Among the new organisations registration on AidStream, a total of 36 organisations were National NGOs closely followed by 28 organisations were International NGOs.
Among the data published via AidStream, Kenya is observed to be the highest aid recipient in the past six months. A total of 136 activities with Kenya as the recipient has been published solely via AidStream.
Government and Civil Society sector was seen to be the most reported on sector with 703 activities followed by Basic Health sector with 181 activities. A vast difference can be seen in the sector reporting. It is seen that Government and Civil Society sector is the major aid receiving sector (recorded from AidStream) during the first half of the year 2022.
International IDEA of Sweden is seen to have the highest number of activities published with 124 activities published via AidStream to the IATI Registry. The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) of Switzerland King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center of Saudi Arabia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan published 111, 108, and 100 activities respectively.

Compared to last year, an increasing trend has been observed in publishing Result and Budget elements. Out of 283 organisations publishing their activities, 155 organisations (correctly) published their budget information and 121 organisations’ results were recorded.
Support Snapshot
Within the past six months, April and May witnessed a surge in support tickets (provided via Zendesk). A total of 24 and 40 users reached out in the months of April and May respectively. January had a relatively low support reach out compared to the rest of the months in 2022. Users were seen to be active in the month of May as a preparation to publish at the fiscal year end.
